Scope

 Elbert Street Stormwater  Improvements

BCI was hired by Lake County to  improve water quality discharges to the Palatlakaha Chain of Lakes, particularly discharges to Lake Minnehaha. There is existing direct discharge from Elbert Street in  a residential area retrofit with French drains and a splash pool upstream of a wetland fringe on Lake Minnehaha.

BCI is providing the following for stormwater improvements:

  • Pollutant loading and pollutant reduction calculations
  • Resolution of Conflicting survey easements required, vacation of existing easements,  accommodating existing utilities, and saving existing trees 
  • Coordination with residents for design and location of retrofit system
  • Wetland delineation
  • French drain design
  • Pavement repair design
  • Plans preparation
  • Permitting through SJRWMD
  • Erosion and sediment control plan
  • Construction inspections
  • Cost estimating
