PCS Phosphates Non-Mandatory Reclamation

Non-mandatory reclamation is a reimbursement program for owners of land that was mined prior to mandatory reclamation rules and is overseen by the state. This mine-scarred land program assists owners in reclamation of old lands and in obtaining reimbursement by the state.

• Completed applications for non-mandatory reclamation programs
• Developed reclamation plan with input from PCS staff
• Completed designs for post-topography & post-land use within the non-mandatory reclamation programs. Design work included cut & fill analysis & hydrology calculations
• Monitored construction monitoring including earthmoving & revegetation
• Created bid documents & assisted with contractor selection
• Monitored vegetative plantings to determine survival
• Assisted subcontractor with reimbursement documents for the state-run program
• Coordinated with state agency to follow state guidelines for the non-mandatory reclamation program
• Conducted quarterly inspections to assure compliance & progress
