Lakeland, Florida – November 19, 2008 – BCI Engineers & Scientists, Inc. is pleased to announce the forward progression of its Forensic Engineering & Science group, as key team members accept new opportunities within.

After 16 years of dedicated service, Mr. Ted Smith, PG, CPG has transitioned to a full Associate Geologist with BCI. He will serve as a key technical resource and advisor while maintaining his expert position in the sinkhole and geologic hazards industry. Mr. Smith is well-known for his ability to provide reliable, technically sound investigation and reporting services to our clients, and has been critical to the sustained growth that has allowed for these new opportunities.

Mr. James Funderburk, PG will assume the role of Forensic Engineering & Science Group Director. He will lead the team in fire, structural, and subsidence investigations. Mr. Funderburk’s diligence in providing the highest level of dependable service to our clients will be an asset to the team and will ensure their continued growth.
