BCI RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF POLK COUNTY’S BEST PLACES TO WORK 2008
Lakeland, FL – August 25, 2009 – BCI Engineers & Scientists, Inc. was honored by Polk Works as one of Polk County’s Best Places to Work 2008.
Polk Works presented its Best Places to Work Awards during the workforce agency’s annual breakfast meeting and success rally at First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, Florida on Thursday, August 20, 2009.
The award is the second of two awards for “Best Places To Work” that BCI has claimed this year; the first being the “Best Companies To Work For 2009,” which was presented to the company by Florida Trend magazine last month. The Best Places to Work distinction was awarded to the companies that are the most innovative in the areas of motivating and retaining their employees, training and development initiatives, and workplace practices which include commitment to a work/life balance. BCI received this honor for exhibiting outstanding service in all three categories.

Adam Putnam, R-Bartow, spoke at the event and was among the award recipients, receiving the Workforce Champion Award. The award is given to an individual or employer who makes significant contributions to workforce and economic development programs.
