BCI is pleased to announce the addition of Thomas Blush as Environmental Scientist/GIS Analyst to its St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) team

Tom brings more than 2,700 hours of editing, digitizing, analysis, and map production experience in ArcGIS to his role at BCI, along with 600 hours of experience developing and editing the ArcHydro Enhanced Database for SFWMD’s watershed management plan. Tom has a Bachelor of Arts in geography and a Certificate in climatology and meteorology, both of which are from the University of Florida. Tom has held leadership positions during his tenure with the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.  As a Charter Member of the Community Emergency Response Team in the City of Treasure Island, Florida, Tom has participated in coordinating a $300,000 fundraising campaign for Shands Children’s Hospital and drafting safety documents for citizens returning after evacuation from tropical storms and hurricanes.  He is also an active participant in Florida’s Coastal Cleanup Program in Pinellas County, Florida.
