Lakeland, FL – June 30, 2009 – BCI Engineers & Scientists, Inc. is pleased to announce that Rebecca Ambrose Rokitowski has passed the exam for Professional Engineer certification in the State of Florida.
Rebecca currently works as a project engineer in the Civil Engineering group at BCI, which she joined in 2008. She has more than six years experience completing land development projects in Florida. Her background includes all aspects of stormwater design and permitting for both residential and commercial development, land grading, and utility design.
Rebecca frequently acts as project coordinator, assisting the project manager with team and subcontractor oversight and budget management for various design projects. She strives to meet development goals while maintaining project affordability and ease of construction as well as open and clear communication with clients, permitting agencies, designers, and subcontractors.
Rebecca’s past project experience includes designing the layout for Ellis-Methvin Park in Plant City, Florida. The design included eight soccer fields, four baseball fields, a walking path, parking areas, picnic areas, and a stormwater pond. She coordinated with the contractor on any project issues during park construction. Rebecca is currently heading up the design team for mine reclemation at the Tenoroc Fish Management Area in northeast Lakeland.
Additionally, she has assisted on projects for Home Depot, Inc. where she designed the grading, parking lots, and stormwater conveyance systems for the development of several Home Depot stores in Palatka, Lady Lake, and Lake City, Florida.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of South Florida. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and is a qualified stormwater management inspector.
