BCI ENGINEERS & SCIENTISTS, INC. is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Senior Water Resources Engineer, Kenneth Ying, Ph.D. Dr. Ying earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia Polytechnic Institute along with his M.S. in Mathematics and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa. Dr. Ying also received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.
Dr. Ying's experience includes river and ocean pollution, tidal surges, coastal erosion, desalinization brines, watershed urbanization, aquaculture and hurricanes. Highly regarded as a world-class numerical modeler, Dr. Ken Ying has been at the forefront of multi-dimensional modeling, having developed 3-D fluid-dynamics computer programs for sediment transport and underwater object detection. Dr. Ying has co-authored more than 30 technical journal and proceedings articles and has served as an adjunct university professor.
