BCI was secured by Hillsborough County to assist in the planning, design, and implementation of various neighborhood drainage improvements.
Projects include:
- West Johnson Road & Sapp Road South Intersection Drainage Improvements;
- Wilder Road-Lawrence Road Drainage Improvements;
- East 131st Avenue from Rail Road to North 15th Street Drainage Improvements Project;
- Charlie Griffin Road near Mud Lake Road Drainage Improvements.
 BCI is performing a variety of stormwater and environmental engineering services in coordination with Hillsborough County’s Public Works Department for various capital improvement projects. BCI’s primary role is to perform Project Development & Evaluation (PD&E) studies and final designs for capital improvement projects and retrofit stormwater projects. These projects require application of Best Management Practices (BMPs) associated with stormwater quality treatment, utility relocation and coordination for project design and construction, and preparing design plans. BCI’s familiarity with BMAP and TMDL processes and federal and state grant acquisition procedures may also be implemented.
These types of projects involve other services that BCI provides as-needed, including, but not limited to:
- Designing water quality improvements to meet Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs)
- Designing water and sewer facilities relocation
- Preparing & submitting permit applications to all applicable regulatory agencies
- Environmental science services
- Developing & implementing Basin Management Action Plans
- Preparing meeting materials & assisting client during public informational meetings
- Bidding tabulation, recommendation for award, inspection services during construction, & as-built drawings for submittal to the regulatory agencies
- Surface water & groundwater quality monitoring, data collection plans, data interpretation & data base management
- Lake or receiving waterbody management plans
