BCI was selected by the Citrus County BOCC to provide comprehensive, as-needed engineering support. Some of our services to date include the following: Stonewall Place Drainage Improvements, Shorewood Stormwater Pond and the Ivanhoe Terrace Drainage Improvements.

Project included reconstruction of two blocks of Evers Street to provide for reconstructed sidewalks with brick pavement accents. Design included accommodating ADA requirements and permitting through the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Softball Stadium Complex Stormwater Management System Retrofit Project requires converting a high maintenance underdrain filtration  system to a permanent pool wet detention system to help the City eliminate the operating funds that would have been required for reconstruction and future operation of the underdrain system.

The City of LaBelle is actively involved in improving the infrastructure throughout the city. Two sections of the city were identified as needing improvements: Commerce Avenue & the Englewood Terrace Development. Commerce Avenue is a developing commercial area, while Englewood Terrace is an existing residential neighborhood containing mostly mobile homes.

BCI was retained by the City of Stuart to develop and implement a revitalization plan of the downtown area of the city. The project was funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies.

BCI was selected as the designated Engineer of Record for implementation of an infrastructure redevelopment and revitalization plan for Eloise, Florida, an unincorporated community. Improvements for the community included more than five miles of new water and sewer main lines and road reconstruction with associated drainage improvements.

BCI has completed a variety of intersection improvement projects for Polk County while performing transportation consulting services. Those projects include SR 655 & Coleman Road Intersection, CR 542 & Dixie Highway Intersection and Bridges & Bennet Intersection.

BCI assisted Florida's Turnpike Enterprise with the planning of a 21-mile, limited access toll facility. We developed a design plan for the western segment of the parkway project to include comprehensive surface water hydrologic modeling; geotechnical evaluations; wetlands creation and/or enhancement of existing wetlands; and the creation and/or enhancement of upland habitat systems.

BCI assisted Polk County with the replacement of conflicting water and sewer utilities along 3.6 miles of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) four-lane widening project. Our team was responsible for coordination with gas, cable, telephone, and electric power utilities within the construction corridor and with the FDOT for permit processing.

The Plant City Industrial Park is located just south of the Plant City Airport. The City provides  water and sewer services to the Industrial Park and also maintains a rail spur from the CSX Railroad located on the south side of Sydney Road. The Industrial Park was developed in the 1970s when stormwater management regulations did not exist and the drainage infrastructure construction standards were minimal.
