 As home to one of the nation’s most renowned earth dam experts, BCI has been a reliable source for dam safety and design for more than 30 years. Our projects have included earth dam/ reservoir design, seepage/ stability analysis, dam safety training and inspections, erosion protection and armoring, dam breach analysis, soil cement and roller compacted concrete design, flood modeling, and more. BCI successfully completed the design and construction administration of the first reservoir in Florida to be funded by a public/ private partnership at a substantial cost-savings from original estimates to all stakeholders involved.

We have conducted numerous projects with objectives from improved navigability to eco-restoration. Our demonstrated success includes project elements such as sediment characterization, disposal site planning, and dewatering design.  BCI has served the mining industry since 1974 in a multitude of capacities through both public and private client relationships. We have performed comprehensive land management services for a multi-billion dollar private mining client and have conducted extensive design and research work for the Florida Institute of Phosphate Research. Our team includes experts with specific experience in mine related permitting, mine planning, facility and compliance audits, mine process engineering and design, and reclamation planning and design.
