For most applications, GPR is operated in reflection mode and is used to produce a radar image of the subsurface. Given many recent improvements in equipment design, GPR is being applied to a wide variety of situations including mapping shallow soils and geology; locating buried metallic and non-metallic objects including tanks, drums, and pipes; water table mapping; and other geotechnical and environmental applications.

Scott Lake Sinkhole Investigation and Remediation Print E-mail

t-scottlake.jpgBCI was hired by the Scott Lake Association to provide investigation and remediation services for Scott Lake and adjacent residential properties. BCI was responsible for preparing a remedial plan for initial stabilization and for restoring the shoreline to its historic location.

Sinkhole Damage Investigations and Remediations Print E-mail

t-sinkhole.jpgOver the past 17 years BCI has completed more than 1,800 subsidence and sinkhole damage investigations at sites throughout Florida. Much of this work is conducted for insurance purposes to evaluate settlement damage to residential and commercial properties. A comprehensive methodology is employed for individual site investigations including examination of regional and site-specific geologic, hydrologic, and physiographic data; detailed site mapping and damage assessment.
