BCI Engineers and Scientists

BCI was hired by The Quikrete Companies, Inc. to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) on an area for potential development for an ongoing mining operation. The project required soil characterization and land-use criteria and development requirements.

BCI also performed a pond and lakes study that included water quality and vegetation analysis; the evaluation of freshwater marshes, upland forested areas, and disturbed lands; wetland evaluations (type and quality); wildlife study (threatened and endangered species); and well inventory and monitoring criteria.

Wetland, threatened and endangered species studies and water monitoring were critical elements of this mine development project, as they control growth.
