Scope
BCI is developing a civil site design for a 10-acre, mixed-use development on Lake Dora in downtown Tavares, Florida. The project is a redevelopment of an industrial area and will be a “face lift” for the shores of Lake Dora.
BCI’s site design integrates the existing site survey and a design plan for pavement design, grading/drainage of driveway and parking areas, stormwater system design, water and wastewater system extensions, and road improvements. In addition, BCI is preparing a wetland delineation and mitigation plan for exotic invasive vegetation and a natural shoreline stabilization plan.
The TAV-LEE Trail will be extended through the site to connect the trail from downtown Tavares to Wooton Park on Lake Dora.
The development includes 99 boat slips, 25 lakefront condominium units, and a highrise with office, retail, 175 condominium units, and parking garage.
BCI will provide permitting services for the development through CSX, City of Tavares, St. Johns River Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and Army Corps of Engineers.
